24-Seven Cooling has a vacancy for an experienced engineer to take up a key role in the company, producing quotes for new air conditioning and refrigeration work and organising jobs on site.
The opening for a full-time, trainee project manager, on a salary of £40,000 a year, is ideal for an engineer keen to move up the career ladder.
The successful candidate will be responsible for quotations from ‘cradle to grave’, sourcing equipment and seeing the installation through to its completion.
The position is suitable for an engineer with at least five years’ experience in the commercial air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
Solid knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and installations is essential, along with good computer skills.
The job will involve being trained to quote for new refrigeration/air conditioning installations. This could be for whole retail sites or individual pieces of equipment.
The trainee project manager will work closely with the firm’s project manager and attend sites to inspect the installation and equipment. He or she will also be responsible for getting equipment to the site; arranging for contractors to be there to complete the work and ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.
Ean Jones, managing director of 24-Seven Cooling, said the role was an important one in helping the company to remain both profitable and efficient.
“We’re a busy service and maintenance contractor, based in the Midlands, dealing with customers in the retail, hospital and food processing sectors. So we’re looking to appoint someone who is self-motivated and has the confidence to make decisions which are crucial to the overall success of the business.”
